Is opportunity really important?
Everyone argues ability is of little consequence without opportunity. But when opportunity shows up, only able person will make best use of it. With true ability person can create even opportunities. This is the fundamental difference between the person who keeps complaining that there are no opportunity and another who prepare himself to be able so that he can create multiple opportunities from what initially seemed like disadvantageous situation.
A story:
There was a beautiful girl Julie who was very unhappy that she was not getting right person to marry. All her friends were well settled. One day she was utterly dejected and started crying. As it always happens in those intense moments, suddenly a great relief came. In her case relief was in the form of an angel.
The angel said: “I cannot bear to see you cry, and so I will grant you two wishes”.
“Only two?” Julie asked since she could think of much more than two wishes.
“Two and not a single more” the angel replied firmly.
Julie said “good. First I wish for a good husband”.
“So be it” replied angel.
“And for my second wish I wish to have two more wishes granted” said Julie
“This is terrible!” good angel thought to herself, “but then a promise is a promise”
“The husband must be very handsome” Julie continued “and then I want to have two more wishes granted”
Annoyed, the angel swallowed hard, but did as she had promised.
Julie continued “first wish I want the prince to be very rich and then you must grant me two more wishes”
Angel complained: “well is this never going to end?”
“Never” replied Julie delightedly.
